Evaluation of media

After looking and reading through my blog I have noticed how I've learned about the film and TV industry. I have learned what makes the film industry work and the step by step process that a movie goes through, from post production to exhibition. This has all happen through learning about Thor and In Fear; these task have helped me realize how different the movies are. One big big budget Hollywood productions from small productions run in a smaller location. I have also gained more of an interest in known who directed a movie and how much work has been put it to make it all happen. This happened when we where learning about the producers that make the film happen, such as big studios such as Universal Studios and small studios such as Studio Canal.

I have also gain more knowledge about the TV industry and how its similar to the Movie industry by doing task such as comparing the different story and camera work from TV and Cinema. 

How the media helps Movie and TV.

I have also learned a lot about how social networks such as Facebook and Twitter allow movies and Tv to branch out to their audience. By sharing videos we have created I have also learned that by using YouTube as a viewing platform to present our videos it shows me how easily the video can spread through friends and other people. This helped me understand why movie producers choose to advertise their trailers through YouTube but also through other social networks.

It's easier and a lot more cheaper to advertise then to pay thousands to advertise on TV and Radio. This is a very good way for lower production movies to do this; as it saves a lot of money which they can spend on other production.

Editing

By learning to use different programs to complete our videos it helped my understand how the post production works; Although I imagine it at a much bigger scale. I have become familiar on how to use Final Cut Pro which has inspired me to use to create short movies. Although the editing process takes a while I find it rewarding when placing all the shots together.

After learning to use blogger it has allowed me to understand how to write about movies and also helps me to review movies. Its also an enjoyable way to learn about Media. By working in groups on a blog it has also taught me how people working in Media always work in a big production work to make one final outcome. Therefore by working in a group we can assign each other different posts and we can help each other complete work we might need help on.
