Is a prime example of a teen movie. It was released in 1995 and has become a worldwide known teen movie. Clueless has many qualities which
are needed for a teen movie. The movie features Alicia Silverton, Stacey Dash and Brittany Murphy. Romantic comedy is the genre of the film. it appeals to manly girls due to its genre. The audience are drawn to the film because of its comedy, romance and characters. The film gratifies the audience by entertaining them as well as reinforcing the stereotypes of the american school system such as the Popular, The Geeks and The Jocks.
By looking at the story line of we see why girls are more attracted to the film than male. Cher played by Alicia Silverton is a student who must survive the ups and
downs of adolescent life. She first seems
superficial, but rather it hides her wit, charm, and intelligence which
help her deal with
all important teenage social life. Film story lines such as Clueless connects with young females as they might have trouble with adolescent life but also the luxury life such as the bags, cloths and money.
Save the last dance... Is a musical drama. This Film appeals to both male and female due to drama conflict and story line. Save the last dance features Julia Stiles and Sean Patrick Thomas.These actors contribute to the movie appealing to both male and female. Most Julia Stiles film appeals to females such as 'The Prince & Me', 'Silver Linings' and 'Mona Lisa Smile'. Whereas Sean Patrick Thomas films are most targeted at males such as 'Honey Dripper', 'The Fountain' and 'Cruel Intentions 2'.
The story line of the film appeals to different audiences such as male, female and audiences who prefer different genres. the story line involves Julia stiles who lost her mother as she was coming to her audition. She moves in with her dad who lives in a black community and then she changes school, she is part of only a few white people within the school she becomes friends with Chenille, and later, falls in love with Chenille's brother, Derek. The story line of the film was made to target all audiences and not just one specific. Within the film theirs a bit of everything that every kind of audience want which includes love, violence and comedy.
Twlight... Incorporates many different genres such as; drama, fantasy and romance. The film stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, because of the different genres the film appeals to both male and female. after the first twilight was released in 2008 people were tracked by Pattinson and Lautner which them created Team Jacob and Team Edward which then attracted more people to the film. The use of binary opposites between the werewolf and the vampire is what drives the narrative forward. the use of the two opposing allows the audience to engage in it more as in what side are they on?. As each film lead to another the audience grew with the characters. there are many different story line which appeals to different audiences. You have the love triangle between Jacob Edward and Bella for the romantic type then you have the drama this causes throughout the who series but also the action within the movie such as the battles and conflicts and finally the fantasy which allows the audience to take in a new world. Twilight is not a predictable film. You never know whats around the corner which makes the audience want more.
